From a focused start in BOPP tape to a broader industrial portfolio, corporate development, audited systems and international business. This is the ETI story, chapter by chapter.
THE BEGINNING
ETI began with BOPP tape, establishing its roots in packaging tapes. This first chapter set the direction for a business centred on tape manufacturing and the everyday needs of packaging customers.
PORTFOLIO EXPANSION
The introduction of industrial tapes broadened ETI’s focus beyond BOPP packaging. It opened the portfolio to a wider range of industrial applications and began a new phase of product development.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
ETI started its duct tape business, adding a distinct product family to its industrial offering. The milestone extended the range available to customers seeking tape solutions for different working environments.
A NEW BUSINESS CHANNEL
ETI entered the e-commerce business, bringing a new commercial channel into its journey. This step connected the tape business with the evolving needs of online commerce and its packaging requirements.
VENDOR RECOGNITION
ETI received vendor recognition from Amazon, Flipkart and Paytm and manufactured tapes for these businesses. This marked an important chapter in ETI’s relationship with the e-commerce sector.
CORPORATE EVOLUTION
ETI moved to a private limited company structure. The transition established a new corporate chapter for the business under the Essence Tape International Private Limited identity.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
ETI achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking a milestone in its quality-management journey. It became a defining part of the company’s development as a structured industrial tape business.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
ETI underwent a SMETA audit. This milestone added an audited responsible-business chapter to the company’s journey alongside its product and quality-management development.
FIVE CONSECUTIVE YEARS
ETI received the Amazon Premium Award for five consecutive years, from 2021 through 2025. This sustained recognition forms a significant chapter in its relationship with Amazon and its work serving e-commerce tape requirements.
COMPLIANCE MILESTONE
ETI recorded its RoHS certification milestone in 2022. This added a further compliance-related chapter to the company’s development, alongside its established product portfolio and quality-management journey.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
ETI achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification, adding an environmental-management milestone to its corporate journey. The certification followed the company’s earlier quality-management and audit milestones.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
ETI started exporting to multiple countries in 2023. This marked the beginning of its international business chapter, extending the reach of its tape portfolio beyond the domestic market.
CONTINUITY OF RECOGNITION
The 2025 Amazon Premium Award completed five consecutive years of recognition from 2021 to 2025. It brought that period of sustained recognition to a notable milestone in ETI’s e-commerce business journey.
CUSTOMER RECOGNITION
ETI received the Amazon Customer Hero Award in 2026. The award adds a new recognition milestone to a journey that began with BOPP tape in 2004 and has grown to include industrial tapes, e-commerce business and exports.
